Learning to code by drawing

In 2017, I delivered a workshop on creative coding to students ages 10-18. It was designed as an introductory course to programming using p5.js. The "sketch" I created was simple in terms of design but challenging in terms of algorithmic thinking. You can have a look at the end-result here.

Although the workshop was delivered in Greek, I have now translated all of the material in English and made it available to everyone. If you’re an educator, librarian or running a coding club, feel free to go ahead and download all of the assets including the step-by-step hand-outs on Github.

p5.js is an excellent tool to get more kids into programming and at least my students were very satisfied with the course.

Enjoy and I hope you find this useful!
